designed & constructed in collaboration with Elliot White.
the dragon's head took 2 actors to operate. two actors operated the head; the first held onto a horizontal bar which was attached to the lower jaw. this allowed the operator to open and close the mouth. the second actor held onto a vertical pole at the back of the dragon's head. the sides of the face, mouth, and nostrils were cut out to ensure the actors could see their surroundings while inside
the dragon's body took 3 actors to operate. two actors controlled the spine/body and the third controlled the tail
we tried to use materials that we already had access to. we chose to use cardboard & paper mache because it was light, but sturdy
